About How to Find a Business Broker

We are a free resource and matching service for owners preparing to sell a business. We are not a licensed business brokerage, we do not list businesses, and we do not represent either side of a transaction.

The premise is simple. Most owners sell a business once. They hire the first broker they call, often without knowing what to ask, and the difference between a good broker and an average one in the same market shows up in the final wire. We publish what we know for free, and when an owner wants an introduction we hand-pick brokers who have actually closed businesses of that type and size.

How we make money

Brokers in our network pay us a referral fee out of the commission they earn, and only if a business we referred actually sells. It is never charged to the seller, it does not change the sale price, and it does not change the commission rate a seller agrees with their broker. Every broker we could match you with pays the same rate, so we have no financial reason to prefer one over another. Ask us for the current rate any time.

Who we help

Most owners we work with have businesses valued between $1 million and $10 million. We also help owners of smaller businesses and match them with main street brokers who specialise at that size.
