Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026. This is a working draft pending review by counsel and should be replaced before launch.
1. What we collect
- Contact and identity: name, email, phone, business name, business location.
- Business and financial information you enter: revenue, earnings, owner compensation and add-backs, industry, value-driver answers, and your stated timeline to sell.
- Usage data: pages visited, referral source and campaign tags, IP address, cookie identifiers.
2. How we use it
- To generate your valuation estimate.
- To contact you about your valuation and related services, with your consent.
- To match you with and introduce you to a business broker, only if you request an introduction.
- To operate, secure and improve the service.
3. Who we share it with
Matched brokers, at your request. If you ask for an introduction we share your contact information and the business details you submitted with the broker or brokers we match you with, under confidentiality obligations. We do not send your information to our whole network, and we do not share it with any broker before you ask. We also use service providers that host our systems and run our CRM and messaging, bound to use your data only for us.
We do not sell your information to data brokers, publish it, or share your financial figures with anyone other than a broker you asked us to introduce and those service providers.
4. How we make money
If you engage a broker we introduce and your business sells, that broker pays us a referral fee out of their commission. You never pay us for an introduction and the fee does not change what you pay the broker. Because our compensation comes from brokers we have an incentive to make introductions; we address that by matching on fit, disclosing this arrangement, and never requiring you to engage anyone.
5. Your choices
- Email: unsubscribe via the link in any message.
- Text: reply STOP to any text.
- Phone: ask us to stop calling.
- Broker sharing: the introduction only happens if you request it.
- Access, correction, deletion: email us to request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it.
6. State privacy rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete and port your personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of it. Where the law treats a compensated referral as a sale or share, you may opt out at any time by emailing us. Opting out means we cannot introduce you to a broker, because the introduction is the sharing.
