Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2026. This is a working draft pending review by counsel and should be replaced before launch.
1. What the service is, and is not
The valuation estimator produces an educational estimate of what a business like yours might sell for, based on figures you enter and general market multiples. It is not an appraisal, a formal opinion of value, an offer to purchase, or a prediction of what your business will sell for.
2. No professional advice
We are not your broker, agent, attorney, accountant, financial adviser, or fiduciary. Nothing here constitutes legal, tax, investment, accounting, or brokerage advice. We do not negotiate transactions and we do not represent you in any sale.
3. Broker introductions and how we are paid
If you request it, we will share your information with one or more independent business brokers matched to your industry, location and size. Brokers in our network are independent businesses; they are not our employees, partners or agents, and we do not supervise or guarantee their work. If you engage a broker we introduce and a transaction results, that broker pays us a referral fee out of their commission. You pay us nothing. We are not a party to any agreement between you and a broker.
4. Accurate information
The service is intended for owners and authorised representatives of US-based businesses, aged 18 or older. You agree the information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it.
5. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from the service or any broker introduction.
